Day 2 was scheduled to start off with a discussion with a senior director and doctor at a government hospital. Although our meeting got postponed due a large number of patients, we were able to tour the hospital. The state of the hospital was not ideal.

Later, we conducted a teacher discussion and an anonymous survey at Sikh Heritage School led by Pahulmeet Singh. Our team is analyzing the data collected through this survey. It was a little difficult to break the ice in the beginning, but then the dialog started. Teachers discussed the contemporary strengths and weaknesses of the education system in Punjab. It was encouraging to see that these teachers understood that the teachers in Punjab have a social responsibility and need to work more responsibly. They were excited to learn about more pedagogical tools and asked us about how they should deliver their lessons. We will go back and conduct more workshops with them.

In between these two, we had the chance to visit local Gurdwara Sahibs and a mosque built by Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. With excursions and work taken care of, we returned home to prepare for Day 3.
